Denise Wood
Owner and Clinical Director
Denise Wood is owner and clinical director of Advanced Allergy Solutions®. She can hardly believe it herself but she has been in the holistic health industry for over 20 years. Her passion for helping people became an official career after graduating from Nature Care College in Sydney, Australia as a Naturopath in 2004. Denise worked for a holistic allergy clinic in Sydney and then became head practitioner, overseeing 5 clinics based all over Australia and one in Auckland, New Zealand. Being a native of Sonoma County brought her back to Northern California after 10 years in Australia, when she opened Advanced Allergy Solutions®, San Francisco, in 2010. She now lives in the Tahoe area seeing patients in Truckee. Denise is a proud mom to a busy boy, a dog, several chickens, 3 goats and a garden.
Dr. Malia King, DACM, L.Ac
Licensed Acupuncturist - Head Allergy Practitioner
Dr Malia King, DACM, L.Ac. is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the State of California. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco, with a double major in Business and Communication. Following a personal injury, Malia discovered the efficacy of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine firsthand, and left a career in the fashion industry to pursue holistic medicine. She received her Master’s degree after completing a 4-year Master’s program at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Malia then received her doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2018. Malia is a member of the California State Oriental Medical Association.
